CASMEC All-State Honor Band is a musical ensemble for young musicians that offers a chance to perform with talented peers from across the state.

The NCBA All-Northern Honor Band is an opportunity for selected students from Northern and Central California to participate in an intense weekend of rehearsals with an inspiring conductor in preparation for a Sunday afternoon concert.

 The norm in the PREMIER ORCHESTRA will be advanced standard repertoire, although on occasion arrangements frequently played by professional orchestras will also be played.  Good tone production on all instruments is expected.  Intonation and the subtleties thereof will be discussed and worked on.  The dynamic range, while maintaining good intonation and tone will be widened. Blasting from the brass should not exist and percussionists will be made aware of the many options they have in sound production. Woodwinds will push their technique considerably. Some rehearsals will include sight reading. 

My journey into the French horn started only two years ago and soon became much more than just an instrument; it turned into my voice. 

The Symphonic Wind Ensemble of the Sacramento Youth Symphony organization will offer students the opportunity to explore and perform the demands of pertinent wind literature at a high level.
